Asprova Ver.13.0

■Improved GUI

The following aspects of the Asprova GUI were improved.
Refreshed style
– The standard style now displays only the basic properties that are most often used.
– The width of the properties column has been increased to match the length of the code used in real operation.
– After a new project is created, the style now consists of the Standard Style and All Properties only, for simpler style display and selection.
– Improved zoom
Zooming in/out on charts and graphs can now be done smoothly without jerkiness.
– Focus animation during chart search
When an operation or the like is searched on the Gantt chart, a focus animation now highlights the filtered objects to make them readily identifiable.

■Demarcation day of the week and demarcation day of the month

It is now possible to set the demarcation day of the week and the demarcation day of the month.
In the Time axis tab for the chart display settings, use Start day of week or
Start day of month
to set the display demarcation day.
In display settings of Load graph or Inventory graph, use Start day of week or
Start day of month
to set the summary demarcation day.
This is further explained in a video.

■Use day of month in date expression properties

Now, when you enter 10 or 10-20 for the date type property when specifying a date or time period in a calendar, this is interpreted as meaning the 10th of each month, or the period from the 10th to the 20th of each month.
In the following example, the period of the 1st to the 3rd of each month is a holiday.

■Set applicable shifts to resources

You can set applicable shifts to resources.
When applicable shifts are set to resources, the shifts displayed in the popup menu of the Resource Gantt chart or Load graph are narrowed down to only to the shifts set as applicable shifts.
Since only the shifts required for each resource are displayed, this makes them easy to see and adjust.

Applicable shift: DayShift; NightShift; Holiday

Applicable shift is not specified

■Improved expression dialog

The expression dialog has been improved, making it easier to input, edit, and verify expressions.
– Wrapping. Expressions can be wrapped by using commas that delimit the parameters of internal functions, the newline character (‘\n’), and the like, by using the “Wrap” button.

– Displaying data tip. Placing the mouse cursor over an object keyword, property, or internal function causes a description to be displayed in a data tip.
When an internal function is input, the return value type and parameter type of that internal function are displayed in a data tip.

– Sample result of selected part. When part of an expression is placed in the selected state, only the selected part is evaluated and that result is displayed in the sample result.

■Multi-display support

It is now possible to display charts and tables from the main screen of Asprova to a popup window.
Chart or tables shown in a popup window can be displayed outside the main frame of Asprova.
In a multi-display setup, the main frame of Asprova can be displayed on the main display, and charts displayed in a popup window on a sub-display can be displayed in maximized view, and this setup can be saved as a layout.

■Object browser that graphically displays object connections such as consecutive operations, orders and operations, masters, and the like

The Object browser graphically displays object connections such as the operations preceding and following an operation selected in a chart or table, use instructions of sub resources, and selected orders and their corresponding pegged orders.
Moreover, double-clicking a bar in the Object browser calls up charts and tables and takes you to the appropriate location.
Using the object browser allows you to smoothly trace back among objects and make it easier than ever to find what you want.
For example, clicking a bar in a resource Gantt chart displays graphically the preceding and following operations and the used resources in the object browser.

And when you click the sub resource bar in the object browser, the resource Gantt chart jumps to the relevant location and brings it into focus.
This simply searches the locations to which sub resources have been assigned.

■Group assign option for realizing constraints during simultaneous processing

As shown on the left and right of the body, manufacturing orders are registered and scheduled as separate orders, but there are cases when a given process gets simultaneously assigned owing to processing accuracy or tinting issues.
The group assignment option meets such needs.
It allows grouping of multiple specified operations and assigning them so that their production start times are the same.
Further, when an operation is moved, this is reflected in real time, thereby allowing scheduling that takes into account even constraints that are set simultaneously, whether during rescheduling or manual revision.
This is further explained in a video.

■Multi-user simultaneous schedule editing function

The functions of Asprova DS (DS = Data Server), making it possible to view schedules with multiple other users and input results have been strengthened, allowing multiple users to simultaneously edit schedules on a Gantt chart or Dispatching view.
For example, multiple process in-charges can simultaneously edit their respective resource schedules and upload the results to Asprova DS to get them reflected to the latest schedule.
Asprova SED (SED = Schedule Editor) has also been added as a dedicated module type for schedule editing.
Although it does not support global schedule rescheduling, Asprova SED provides standard features such as a manual schedule editing function and a function for automatic sequencing of operations, making it a suitable module that allows process in-charges to efficiently edit schedules.
This is further explained in a video.
