Privacy Policy
Asprova Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) hereby establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of customers’ personal information obtained through the services provided by the Company.
1. Personal Information
“Personal Information” refers to information related to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data related to physical appearance, fingerprints, and voiceprints that can be used to identify a specific individual from that information alone (personally identifiable information). Information that can identify a specific individual, such as login information for the use of a free trial version via Asprova ID, online license authentication, and usage status of the Company’s products collected through the internet, shall also be included. (Note: As of version 17.7 and later, Asprova and Asprova My Schedule collect usage status data via the internet. For further details, please refer to the Asprova Software License Agreement and the Asprova My Schedule License Agreement.)
2. Method of Acquisition of Personal Information
When obtaining customers’ personal information, the Company shall publicly announce the purpose of obtaining the information in advance and shall obtain only the minimum necessary personal information.
3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The personal information provided by customers shall be used for the following purposes:
- Providing the latest information on the Company’s products, and information on seminars and events.
- Responding to inquiries, as well as providing support and information for continuous use.
- Developing new features, improving existing features, correcting defects, and detecting fraudulent activities in the Company’s products.
4. Change of Purpose of Use
The Company shall only change the purpose of use of personal information when it is reasonably recognized that the new purpose is related to the previous purpose. If the purpose of use is changed, the Company shall notify customers of the changed purpose or publicly announce it on the Company’s website by the prescribed method.
5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company shall not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the customer, except in cases where it is permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law and other relevant laws and regulations.
6. Sharing of Personal Information
The Company may share personal information with specific entities by notifying customers in advance or by making the same information easily accessible to customers. This includes the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the parties with whom the information will be shared, the purposes for which the information will be used by the parties, and the name or title of the entity responsible for the management of the personal information.
7. Disclosure of Personal Information
When requested by a customer to disclose personal information, the Company shall disclose it without delay. However, the Company may decide not to disclose all or part of the information if any of the following applies, and shall promptly notify the customer if a decision not to disclose is made:
- If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party.
- If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of the Company’s business.
- If it would violate other applicable laws and regulations.
8. Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
In the event of a customer’s personal information held by the Company being incorrect, the customer may request the Company to correct, add, or delete the personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures specified by the Company.
Should the Company determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall correct the personal information without delay.
The Company shall promptly notify the customer when the correction, etc. has been made, or when it has been decided not to make the correction, etc.
9. Suspension of Use of Personal Information
Should the Company be requested by a customer to suspend the use of or delete personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it has been obtained by fraudulent means, the Company shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay, and based on the results, shall suspend the use of the personal information without delay should it be determined that the request needs to be complied with.
10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
The content of this privacy policy may be changed without individual notification to the customer, except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised privacy policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
